Intracorp Announces Plans to Construct 270 Condo Units in Austin

Intracorp has been granted approval by the Austin City Council to construct Leland South Congress, a 270-unit condominium complex. The developer will have the opportunity to demolish existing commercial properties and build a residential community standing at 90 feet tall.

The redevelopment project will span across five lots located at and around 2105 S. Congress Ave. As per zoning regulations, 12% of the units must be made affordable for households earning up to or less than 80% of the median family income; alternatively, a fee can be paid in lieu.

Leland South Congress will consist of seven stories and offer various types of condos including studios, penthouses, one-, two- and three-bedroom options. According to reports from Austin Business Journal , condo sizes are expected to range from approximately 500 square feet up to as large as3,000 square feet.

Additionally,the ground level is set aside for retail shops and restaurants covering an area measuring approximately23 ,000 square feet .

Construction is estimatedto take two years before completion.
