Industrious has committed to a full floor at The Eight, the 25-story office tower developed by Skanska in Bellevue. The national coworking space operator signed a lease for the tower’s entire third floor, securing 22,000 square feet for a new flexible office hub.
According to reporting from the Puget Sound Business Journal, Industrious plans to open the new coworking location in June 2027. The deal expands the firm’s Pacific Northwest footprint, marking its sixth workspace in the Seattle area and its second location in Bellevue. The new space will add another flexible office option within a recently delivered Class A tower.
The Eight, located at 10770 NE Eighth Street, reached completion in July 2025 and is described as one of Bellevue’s newest office towers. Skanska served as both developer and general contractor for the project, while architecture firm Pickard Chilton designed the building. With the completion of the Industrious lease, the tower is now reported to be 92% leased, indicating significant tenant uptake since delivery.
The property also includes a retail component that has attracted food and beverage users. Earlier in the year, The Eight secured two restaurant tenants: Chipotle Mexican Grill and Sabine Cafe & Bar. Chipotle leased approximately 1,877 square feet in a retail pavilion space within the building’s public plaza, while Sabine committed to about 3,016 square feet in the tower’s southeastern retail space along NE 8th Street.
The combination of a new coworking tenant and recently signed retail leases underscores the building’s active lease-up period following its 2025 completion. Industrious’ full-floor commitment complements the food and beverage offerings on the plaza and street front, positioning The Eight as a multi-tenant office and retail destination within Bellevue’s urban core. As the tower approaches full occupancy, the addition of a flexible workspace provider may help support a wider range of office users seeking turnkey space in a relatively new high-rise environment.
