Indiana Student Housing Repositioning: Campus Realty Acquisition

BWE secured $36,029,500 in acquisition financing for The Monroe, a 796-bed student housing property at Indiana University in Bloomington. Campus Realty Advisors acquired the asset and was advised by Christopher Carroll and Max Miller from BWE’s Chicago office.

Carroll commented: “Students are looking for high-quality, amenity-rich places to spend their college years – it’s essential that student housing options can meet this demand. We’re proud to partner with Campus Realty Advisors on acquiring and repositioning The Monroe so that it becomes the premier living option for Indiana University students in Bloomington.”

The Monroe is situated at 1150 S Clarizz Blvd., located within one of three purpose-built student housing submarkets serving Indiana University. According to BWE, its proximity to several of the university’s larger colleges makes it particularly popular with students attending classes on the southeast part of campus.
