The Catawba Nation is set to begin construction on a new casino complex, Two Kings Casino Resort, in Kings Mountain, NC. The $700 million project will be completed in two phases and is expected to open its doors in 2026.
During the first phase of development, an introductory casino will feature 1,350 electronic gaming machines and 12 table games. Additionally, there will be a sportsbook area and a restaurant with seating for up to 40 guests.
In the second phase of the project, which has no set timeline yet for construction start date or completion date,the full casino complex will include a luxurious hotel with 400 rooms. The expansive facility spans over two million square feet and boasts amenities such as over4 ,300 slot machines ,100 table games,five restaurants,six bars,and evena players’ lounge.The resort plans to employ approximately2 ,200 people once fully operational.
