“Improvements Being Made to Cotton Bowl”

"Improvements Being Made to Cotton Bowl"

Construction began in March and is expected to finish by next fall on the renowned Cotton Bowl. The historic stadium is undergoing a $140 million renovation, which includes the installation of 14 escalators, new premium seating options, and an expanded press area. Additionally, there will be an increase in concession stands and restrooms as well as a doubling of the main concourse size on the west side of the facility. The upper west concourse will also be tripled in size with added features such as two outdoor terraces offering views of downtown Dallas. These upgrades are being funded through taxes generated from tourist activities.

According to reports from The Dallas Business Journal, these improvements to Fair Park’s Cotton Bowl are driven by recognition that other stadiums offer more fan-friendly amenities than it currently does. This has resulted in missed opportunities for major sporting events such as losing out on hosting rights for the 2024 Olympics (which were awarded to Paris) and ongoing efforts to attract teams like the Cowboys.

On August 20th , Virgin Hotels Dallas will host Connect Texas Multifamily – one of CRE’s premier events bringing together top investors, owners, developers forecasters managers brokers lenders ,and others . Don’t miss this opportunity; register now before prices increase!
