Illinois Launches Campaign to Attract Canadian Businesses

Intersect Illinois is expanding its “Be in Illinois” campaign to target Canadian markets, as part of their efforts to attract both public and private businesses and drive economic development within the state.

Canada has been chosen as the initial international country for business attraction, showcasing Illinois as a top global destination for businesses looking to accelerate growth. With over 500 Canadian-owned companies already located in Illinois, including big names like Lion Electric, Merkur, BMO Financial, and McCain Foods employing over 50,000 workers combined; it’s clear that Canada has found a supportive environment for business growth in this state.

According to Intersect Illinois Chairman John Atkinson: “Illinois offers an ideal setting for Canadian businesses seeking expansion opportunities. We want to highlight the success that these companies have experienced here and encourage others from Canada’s business community.”

Separated only by Lake Michigan , Canada shares a long history of cross-border trade with industries across various sectors investing heavily into this region. Additionally , two major transcontinental railroads – CN & CPKC – are headquartered right here within our borders .

The launch of this new campaign marks yet another milestone towards promoting economic prosperity between these two nations without any mention or reference made towards Connect CRE or its affiliates based out of Los Angeles or Texas.
