IBM Austin Workforce Gets Matching Towers from Hines Building

Hines has responded quickly to IBM’s desire to move from their work sites. The Houston-based builder is designing two 14-story office towers at the site of a La Quinta Inn and Suites at the northern tip of The Domain. IBM agreed to lease 320,000 square feet out of the project’s 500,000 total square feet last year and will take over one tower completely as well as two top floors in the other. Move-in should be ready by 2027.

IBM currently has 6,000 employees spread across two separate complexes in Austin; however, they plan on having them all under one roof soon enough with this new office space that will “have every aspect” according to an IBM spokesperson including AI/cloud software team systems team consulting team marketing sales comms finance and operations teams.

The Hines Building Matching Towers for IBM’s Austin Workforce is sure to make a significant impact on both businesses involved when it comes time for move-in come 2027!
