**Sewon Precision Industry Expanding Rincon Facility with $50M Investment**
Sewon Precision Industry Co. is expanding its facility in Rincon, just outside Savannah, Georgia, with a 98,250-square-foot addition. The $50 million expansion is expected to create 100 new jobs in the region. The company initially committed to creating 740 jobs and investing more than $300 million in establishing the Rincon plant.
Sewon America operates one of the largest automobile body parts manufacturing facilities in North America. Since opening its first U.S. location in LaGrange, Georgia, in 2008—which has since doubled in size—the company has continued to expand its footprint. Operations at the Rincon location began in 2025.
The expansion will allow Sewon to enhance its production of electric vehicle (EV) body parts for major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. Hyundai’s massive EV and hybrid vehicle plant in Ellabell, located roughly 20 miles from Rincon, is projected to produce approximately 500,000 vehicles annually upon completion.
This continued growth highlights Georgia’s role as a growing hub for EV manufacturing and supply chain development.
