Hutto Selected for 1.3 Million-Square-Foot Industrial Development

The expansive Samsung Electronics fabrication plant in Taylor has proven to be a significant economic driver. In light of this success, another industrial developer has announced plans to build near the plant. A development group is preparing to construct over 1 million square feet of warehouse and distribution space in Hutto, which is located just 20 miles from the fab.

Construction on this project, a joint venture between Velocis , Ironwood Realty Partners and MBK Industrial Properties, will commence later this month. The site spans across 118 acres at the intersection of State Highway 130 and West U.S. 79.

The first phase will include three speculative industrial buildings totaling approximately 660,000 square feet while the second phase will consist of three additional buildings spanning about 667,000 square feet.

According to an economic impact report released by Samsung Austin Semiconductor factory at the end of2023 , their contribution towards Central Texas was valued at $26.8 billion .

This recent announcement highlights Hutto as an ideal location for large-scale industrial projects like these .
