**Capland Development Unveils Plans for 257-Acre Gateway at Hutto Project**

Capland Development is setting its sights on a major new project with the unveiling of plans for a 257-acre mixed-use community adjacent to Hutto, Texas. Dubbed “The Gateway at Hutto,” the proposed development aims to blend residential, commercial, and recreational spaces to form a vibrant new hub in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.

Located at the intersection of East Wilco Highway and County Road 137, the master-planned community will serve as a prominent entrance to the city. A signature gateway bridge is envisioned to span a nearby lake, symbolizing the development’s role as an anchor for the area.

According to the project’s proposed site plan, The Gateway at Hutto will include:

– 73.5 acres of open space
– 12.7 acres designated for townhomes (125 units)
– 67.7 acres for single-family residential homes (285 units)
– 29.2 acres allocated for multifamily residential buildings (730 units)
– 57.6 acres of mixed-use commercial development, including office space, hotel accommodations, and a conference center

Capland has initiated discussions with local officials, but a detailed timeline has yet to be established. The project remains in its early planning stages, pending further approvals.
