The Hutto City Council has approved a development agreement with HL Capital Partners for Olander Farms, a 100-acre mixed-use project. The project will feature multifamily and build-to-rent developments, as well as supporting commercial spaces.
There are four parcels of land designated for multifamily use, totaling approximately 61 acres. One parcel will include 222 build-to-rent homes, another will have between 360 to 650 apartments, the third parcel will have townhomes available for sale (totaling at least122 units), and the fourth parcel can accommodate up to160 apartments.
In addition to the residential components of Olander Farms, there are also three commercial lots spanning about12 acres in total. One lot is expected to house up to60 ,000 square feet of commercial space on its6 -acre plot.
Accordinglyto reports from the Austin Business Journal , Hutto is experiencing rapid growth and Olander Farms could further support this trend. Accordingto data fromthe U.S.Census Bureau, the city’s population has more than doubled since2010 , reaching an estimated36 ,655 residents in July2022 .
This significant growth can be attributed largelyto Williamson County’s thriving industrial sector which includes Samsung’s massive semiconductor factory currently under construction in nearby Taylor .
