### HTG Breaks Ground on First Affordable Housing Community in Houston

**Housing Trust Group (HTG)** has secured financing and begun construction on *The Rushmore*, a $33.8 million affordable housing development in the Energy Corridor of Houston, Texas. This 101-unit community marks HTG’s first project in Houston and third in Texas.

The Rushmore will offer a mix of income-restricted and market-rate apartments. Of the 101 units, 85 will be designated for residents earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income (AMI), while 16 units will be available at market rate.

Located at 800 Highway 6 S, rental rates at The Rushmore will range from $532 to $1,875 per month. Residents will have access to a range of amenities, including a resort-style swimming pool, a community clubroom, a workroom, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a game room.

Funding for the project includes $20 million in construction financing from Citi Community Capital and $15.2 million in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) syndicated through Raymond James. The Harris County Housing Financing Corporation is serving as the general partner and providing a 99-year ground lease.
