HSBC has recently opened its new U.S. headquarters at The Spiral in Hudson Yards, marking the largest relocation in the company’s history. The grand opening ceremony was attended by notable guests including Mayor Eric Adams, Michael R. Bloomberg, Kathryn Wylde and architect Bjarke Ingels.
The development of The Spiral was led by Tishman Speyer and designed by Bjarke Ingels Group to provide a sustainable workplace experience with green outdoor terraces on each of its 66 stories. In line with HSBC’s commitment to sustainability and inclusivity in the workplace, the building is pursuing LEED Silver certification.
According to HSBC Group Chairman Mark Tucker, “Our new U.S. headquarters represents our dedication to our clients and this crucial market.” He further stated that their focus remains on connecting clients within the US to global opportunities while also linking individuals worldwide to opportunities within America.
This unveiling of HSBC’s new US HQ at Hudson Yards showcases their strong presence as a leading financial institution in one of the world’s top financial hubs.
