**University of Houston Unveils $130M Football Operations Center**

The University of Houston has officially opened its new state-of-the-art football operations facility, a 158,000-square-foot complex that represents a major investment in the school’s athletic department and student-athlete experience.

The $130 million Memorial Hermann Football Operations Center is more than just a training space – it’s a comprehensive, all-in-one development hub designed to elevate the University of Houston football program on and off the field. Designed by DLR Group in partnership with architecture firm Page, the facility features a blend of performance, wellness, academic, and hospitality components.

At the heart of the facility is a modern training complex that includes a fully equipped weight room, new locker rooms, team meeting rooms, an auditorium, hydrotherapy and sports medicine areas, fueling stations, a team dining hall, equipment room, and dedicated offices for coaches and football operations staff. In addition to athletic training, the building offers academic support spaces, quiet study areas, and a student-athlete lounge to encourage balance between sports and education.

Enhancing the fan experience was also a priority in the project’s design. The center adds approximately 30,000 square feet of premium gameday hospitality through the addition of 14 luxury suites, a 450-seat club and lounge, and a 350-seat rooftop terrace that provides panoramic views of John M. O’Quinn Field.

With this new facility, the University of Houston demonstrates its commitment to excellence in collegiate athletics, providing both players and fans with a top-tier environment to train, compete, and celebrate college football.
