Dick’s Sporting Goods is opening a new concept store, Dick’s House of Sport, at Baybrook Mall in Friendswood, TX later this year. The retail giant plans to open 12 locations across the country that will bring together sports and community engagement with technology.
The 100,000+ square foot store offers athletes an array of products along with interactive experiences such as a climbing wall and multiple golf bays featuring TrackMan simulators. Multi-sport cages are also available for baseball, softball lacrosse and soccer so customers can test out products while tracking their performance.
In addition to these features some locations have fields attached which can be used for open play or clinics as well as league space or even ice rinks during winter months.
