**St. Regis Houston to Be Rebranded and Renovated as The Houston Grand Hotel — River Oaks**

The iconic St. Regis Houston hotel is set for a major transformation as it undergoes rebranding and extensive renovations. Recently acquired by Houston businessman Leslie Doggett, the hotel will be renamed The Houston Grand Hotel — River Oaks. A multimillion-dollar renovation is slated to take place over the next year.

Located at 1919 Briar Oaks Lane, the hotel first opened in 1982 as The Remington. It later transitioned to become Houston’s first Ritz-Carlton, a designation that was removed in 1997 when it adopted the St. Regis brand.

The extensive renovation project is being spearheaded by Saddlebrook Equity and Management, with HEI Hotels & Resorts now overseeing hotel operations. Planned upgrades will include a complete redesign of the lobby, guest rooms, event spaces, fitness center, and pool deck. Additionally, a new bar and a fully updated restaurant will be part of the improvements.

This revitalization effort aims to reposition the hotel as a premier luxury destination in the River Oaks area.
