Grainger has begun construction on a massive 1.2 million-square-foot Distribution Center in Houston, Texas. This new facility will be one of the largest in Grainger’s distribution network and will allow them to efficiently fulfill next-day orders for their customers. The groundbreaking is scheduled for this spring and the property development will be handled by Hines.
Located just off Interstate 290 and Roberts Road in Hockley, about 37 miles from downtown Houston, the center is being built on a vacant 108-acre parcel of land.
Upon completion, Grainger’s Distribution Center will house over 250,000 industrial supply items including hand and power tools, HVAC equipment, fluid power solutions, lighting fixtures,and motors. It is expected to employ around 400 team members within its first year of operation starting from its projected opening date in2026.
This new facility adds to Grainger’s already strong presence in Texas with more than45 locations across the state.
