Houston-Area Medical Campus: $500M Project Led by Physicians Group

A group of Houston-area physicians are finally moving forward with the Cypress Health and Wellness Campus on 30 acres of vacant land next to the Second Baptist Church Cypress Campus after two years of pandemic-induced pause. North Cypress Land Ventures, a doctor-led development group, is hoping that their wait will be worth it as they plan to build not only a medical office building but also a wellness center for phase II and potentially even more buildings in later phases. The entire project is estimated to cost between $500 million and $600 million with completion expected in five years’ time. Groundbreaking for the first building -a 70,000 square foot multi-specialty medical office building which has already been 90% leased -is slated for this fall.
