Housing on Merit (HoM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing, has announced the appointment of Jaymie Beckett as its new CEO. Based in Los Angeles, Beckett will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HoM.
With over 20 years of experience in both institutional organizations and entrepreneurial ventures, Beckett’s career began at Deutsche Bank where she worked in real estate investment banking. She then moved on to Related Capital before attending UCLA Anderson School of Management where she was awarded the ULI Kenneth M. Good Graduate Student Fellowship.
After earning her MBA, Beckett co-founded AJ Capital Partners which focused on hospitality sector real estate operations. Under her leadership, the company completed over $500 million worth of acquisitions between 2009 and 2012.
“I am honored to take on the role as CEO at Housing on Merit and am excited about our potential impact,” said Beckett confidently. “I believe we can make significant progress towards creating sustainable and inclusive communities.”
