Rebel Hospitality, a hotel development and management company founded in 1988 by co-founders Gene Kornota and Anthony Klok, has taken over the management of The Meridian Hotel Miami Beach. This 73-room boutique hotel is located in the South of Fifth neighborhood within Miami’s historic Art Deco district.
Rebel Hotel Company was created to help manage boutique properties with a concept of breaking away from traditional models based on unique structure, services and offerings. President & CEO Brian Sparacino stated “the one-size fits all model does not work” when discussing Rebel’s mission statement for their new venture. Investment firm Cambridge Lansdowne purchased The Meridian for $30.5 million in 2022 as part of this transition process to Rebel’s management team .
This move marks an exciting milestone for both companies as they strive towards creating innovative hospitality experiences that are tailored to each property’s individual needs while providing guests with exceptional service during their stay at any given location managed by Rebel Hospitality or its affiliates .
