### Home Depot Acquires Savannah Distribution Center for $145.5M

Home Depot has purchased a 1.4 million-square-foot distribution center in Savannah after leasing the facility for 30 years. The acquisition, which includes the building and an adjacent 100 acres of undeveloped land, totaled $145.5 million. The facility is situated on approximately 325 acres near Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

The seller, the Savannah Economic Development Authority, originally developed the broader business park where the center is located. The park is also home to companies such as Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.

According to a report from the *Atlanta Business Chronicle*, much of the facility has been used for Home Depot’s supply chain operations. A filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission revealed that, as of the end of 2023, Home Depot owned only 3% of its more than 100 million square feet of warehouse and distribution center space, while it owned 80% of its retail stores.
