Hobby Lobby to Open First Store in Manhattan's Tribeca Neighborhood

Arts and crafts retailer Hobby Lobby has secured a lease for its inaugural Manhattan store, spanning 70,716 square feet on the second floor of Edward J. Minskoff Equities’ property at 270 Greenwich Street in Tribeca. The deal was brokered by JLL and Katz & Associates, with Brian Katz and Daniel DePasquale representing Hobby Lobby. Minskoff Equities was represented by Peter Ripka, Andrew Mandell, and Sam Martorella of Ripco Real Estate.

Founded by David Green, the company will occupy space previously occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond and Barnes & Noble which have been consolidated into one retail location. With over 1,000 stores nationwide and an impressive growth rate of at least 160 new locations since 2019,Hobby Lobby is known for its evangelical roots.

The upcoming Tribeca store follows their first New York City location at The Crossing in Staten Island Mall which opened in March this year.The retailer plans to expand further into all four boroughs.The retail condominium at270 Greenwich Street spans across236 ,000 square feetand also houses Whole Foods while the upper floors are dedicated to residential units.
