Historic Denver Cattlemen’s Hub Renewal

Historic Denver Cattlemen's Hub Renewal

A group of stakeholders, including EXDO Development, the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association and the National Western Center Authority, have joined forces to revitalize the 125-year-old Livestock Exchange Building. The goal is to transform it into a modern commercial hub known as The Exchange.

From 1898 until the 1950s, the Livestock Exchange Building was at the heart of Colorado’s livestock trade. Leading this project’s positioning and development is Natural Object in partnership with EXDO Development. Stantec has been chosen as its architect.

The Exchange will serve as a central location for traditional Rocky Mountain industries such as agriculture, food production, water management and energy production. It will also feature Western-inspired restaurants and artisan retailers. In upcoming months, EXDO Development plans to announce The Exchange’s anchor tenants.

Construction is expected to be completed by late 2025 with plans for an opening before January 2026 when it will coincide with Denver’s annual National Western Stock Show event.
