Newcastle Limited has hired Mike Tsakalakis as Vice President of Retail Property Management to oversee the strategic operations and financial performance of their retail portfolio. With over 600,000 square feet of retail space across 60 assets and 150 tenants, Tsakalakis will lead the firm’s retail team in managing these properties.
Steve Merchant, Newcastle Limited’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), expressed his enthusiasm for this new hire: “Mike brings with him more than three decades worth of commercial real estate experience with a focus on retail assets. His impressive track record speaks for itself; we are delighted to have him join our team.”
Prior to joining Chicago-based Newcastle, Tsakalakis served as Director of Retail Operations at JLL where he was responsible for facility management and operations at super-regional malls, vertical shopping centers and lifestyle centers. He also held the position Director National Operations with Starwood before that.
