"Hines Secures $1.3B Tampa Stadium and Mixed-Use Development in Houston"

The city of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County have reached an agreement with the Tampa Bay Rays to construct a $1.3 billion stadium in the Historic Gas Plant District, currently occupied by Tropicana Field. The team, along with development firm Hines from Houston, announced this week that they have finalized a term sheet for the 86-acre property.
