Hines, in collaboration with Cresset Partners, has commenced construction on the revitalization of 429 Houston, a mixed-use property spanning approximately 30,000 square feet in Nashville’s Wedgewood Houston neighborhood. The project aims to convert the property into a dedicated retail space featuring various restaurant and retail tenants. Enhancements such as an expansive outdoor patio and increased square footage will be incorporated along with upgraded building systems and site infrastructure.
The company has also secured new restaurant tenants for 429 Houston including Bodega Taqueria y Tequila (4,384 SF) expected to open by mid-2025 and Aba (8,979 SF) anticipated to launch around the same time. Jackalope Brewing Company will continue operating in its current location of 16,200 square feet during the redevelopment process.
Hines is known for developing nearby projects such as Finery – a luxury apartment complex consisting of 383 units – and T3 Wedgewood Houston – an innovative mass-timber office building. With this latest addition to their portfolio in Nashville’s thriving market scene , Hines continues expanding its presence within this dynamic city.
