Hines REIT Expands Portfolio with Two Industrial Assets in the Southeast
Hines REIT has announced the acquisition of two significant industrial properties in the Southeastern United States: the Georgia Trade Center in Savannah, Georgia, and the I-85 Logistics Center in Greenville, South Carolina.
The Georgia International Trade Center (GITC), located just 10 miles from the Port of Savannah, consists of two newly acquired distribution facilities totaling 2.2 million square feet. These facilities are part of a master-planned industrial park totaling over 7.7 million square feet of Class A manufacturing and warehouse space across ten buildings. The GITC, a joint venture development by Davis and Stonemont Financial Group, is fully leased and strategically positioned to serve one of the fastest-growing ports in the country.
In Greenville, South Carolina, Hines acquired the I-85 Logistics Center, a newly built, Class A cross-dock facility comprising 408,000 square feet. The center is fully leased to Vertiv and is located within half a mile of Vertiv’s new 215,000-square-foot manufacturing site and near its existing R&D facility. This acquisition further supports Vertiv’s growing presence and investment in the region.
The acquisitions were led by Ryan Wood and Tom Griggs, who are part of Hines’ U.S. Sunbelt and East industrial teams. These strategic additions reflect Hines’ continued focus on high-quality logistics assets within major industrial growth corridors.
