Hilton has opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Abilene Downtown Convention Center, a 200-room hotel that will serve as a hub for meetings and social events in Abilene. The property offers the most hotel meeting space in the destination and is located 150 miles west of Dallas in northeastern Taylor County.
Danny Hughes from Hilton commented on their continued growth: “We’re thrilled to continue our growth in Abilene with our fifth property – a place that holds special significance for us since it was one of the first markets where Conrad Hilton sought to expand after opening his first Texas hotel.”
The modern rustic design features 200 guest rooms, including Presidential Suite and four executive suites, along with 23,000 square feet of meeting space plus Smokehouse Abilene Steak House and Cattlemen’s Exchange lobby lounge.
