Sweetwater Town Center in Apex is expanding its offerings with the addition of a new hotel. A Tempo by Hilton hotel is set to join the mixed-use development, featuring 125 guest rooms along with 4,000 square feet of retail and meeting space. The hotel will also include a rooftop bar and a ground-floor restaurant, enhancing the center’s hospitality and dining options.

The hotel is being developed by Bhavik Patel of Blue Chip Development. In November, Patel acquired the 4.87-acre site located at 1051 Newland Drive for $3 million. Construction on the project is expected to begin by the end of the year, with an anticipated opening in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Retail leasing at Sweetwater has been managed by Retail Strategies of NC, working in coordination with the project’s developers, The Kalikow Group and ExperienceOne Homes. Currently, all retail spaces within Sweetwater Town Center are fully leased, with Harris Teeter serving as the anchor tenant.
