Hilton Announces Dual-Branded Hotels in Austin, TX - Get Ready to Go Green!

An Austin oversight commission has given the thumbs up to a joint venture of two established hospitality-focused developers. Atlanta-based Peachtree Group and Austin’s Merritt Development Group are proposing a site with two Hilton-branded hotels, an Embassy Suites and Tempo by Hilton, combining for 489 rooms.

Architecture firm DLR Group is designing the project with help from local landscape architecture firm Nudge Design. The 370 foot building at 415 Lavaca St will not include any parking spaces; however, its transit network is robust according to Austin Business Journal.

The hotel tower will feature amenities such as restaurants, bars and cafes as well as a fitness center in the upper levels of the building that may also have an observation deck on top floors.
