The Portland Thorns FC and the upcoming Portland Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) team have announced plans to construct a $150 million joint training center in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Workspace Property Trust has revealed that RAJ Sports, owned by the Bhathal Family who also own and operate both teams, has signed a 15-year lease agreement for two office buildings and surrounding land at 3220 & 3340 NE Aloclek Drive in Hillsboro.
This state-of-the-art campus will be built on a former Nike facility spanning over 12 acres. The project includes a performance center with two full-sized soccer pitches and an outdoor training area. Additionally, there will be a practice gym covering over 17,000 square feet with two full-size basketball courts as well as an expansive training facility measuring approximately63 ,000 square feet.
