Hilco Redevelopment Partners (HRP), a Chicago-based real estate investment and redevelopment company, has joined forces with local youth sports organization Beyond the Ball to revitalize multiple basketball courts in the Little Village Community. Bear Construction will serve as the general contractor for this project.
Funded by HRP, renovations will include new pavement, striping, fence repairs, and LED lighting. The basketball courts are situated on two Chicago Public School campuses and cater to around 1,500 students. Robert Castaneda of Beyond the Ball expressed gratitude towards HRP for their investment in these courts located at Gary/Ortiz campus.
Beyond the Ball’s youth activities are conveniently located just one mile from HRP’s Exchange 55 and Lawndale fleet storage yard redevelopments. Recently completed Exchange 55 is now Chicago’s largest LEED-certified industrial building housing a Target flow center that has generated over 2,000 job opportunities.
