"Highly Anticipated Round Rock Project Set to Commence Construction Soon"

Construction is set to begin next month on The District, a 66-acre development located near I-35 and State Highway 45 Toll Road in Round Rock. This highly anticipated project will span nearly 4 million square feet and include various components such as office space (2 million square feet), retail space (150,000 square feet), multiple phases of apartments (totaling approximately 1.4 million square feet), and a hotel (300,000 square feet). With an estimated investment of over $500 million, The District is expected to bring about significant economic growth with the creation of approximately 5,000 jobs by its completion in the year 2039.

According to reports from the Austin Business Journal, this groundbreaking has been long-awaited since initial plans were approved six years ago. Leading the project is Mark IV Capital.

The first phase of construction for The District will focus on infrastructure development and is scheduled for completion within twelve months under W.E. O’Neil Construction’s supervision. Following this phase will be vertical construction which developers anticipate finishing by early 2027.
