**Grace Christian School Property in Cary Listed for Redevelopment**
The former Grace Christian School campus in Cary has officially hit the market, following the school’s decision to relocate to Apex. The site, located just off Interstate 40, was briefly considered for a town recreation center, but that plan fell through when voters rejected the necessary bond proposal.
The Triangle Business Journal reports that the school is aiming to sell the property for between $15 and $20 million. Lee and Associates is handling the listing.
Though the school plans to remain on-site through summer 2027 under a lease-back agreement, the property is being positioned as a prime redevelopment opportunity. Preliminary concept plans propose three buildings featuring approximately 795 residential units, 41,000 square feet of retail space, and about 1,280 parking spaces housed in wrapped parking structures.
The surrounding area is also poised for major transformation. Directly across from the site, Loden Development and Northpond Partners are moving forward with a large-scale project that includes 1,755 residential units, 350 hotel rooms, 935,000 square feet of office space, 550,000 square feet of commercial space, and 235,000 square feet dedicated to research and lab facilities.
This listing marks a significant opportunity for developers eyeing large-scale mixed-use projects in one of the Triangle’s fastest-growing regions.
