Hialeah Truck Lot Owner Converts Property to Apartments

Gimrock Property made a strategic investment in 2017, acquiring a 10-acre truck parking lot in Hialeah for $3.85 million. Now, the company has set its sights on developing a new residential community on the site. The proposed project will consist of 239 apartment units and amenities such as a pool, clubhouse, and ample parking space.

To move forward with this plan, Gimrock must first secure approval from the Miami City Council to change the zoning from industrial to mixed-use multiple-family district. This location is currently situated in an industrial area but is conveniently located just minutes away from Interstate 75.

The developer’s proposal includes constructing seven three-story buildings and providing designated spaces for each unit along with additional guest parking spots totaling up to 538 spaces. The development will offer various floor plans including one-bedroom (71 units), two-bedroom (138 units), and three-bedroom (30 units) options.

This transformation of Hialeah’s former truck lot into an upscale residential community showcases Gimrock Property’s innovative vision for growth and expansion within South Florida’s real estate market.
