Post Lake Capital Partners is one step closer to constructing a 10-story residential tower and three-story retail building at Hemisfair. The city of San Antonio’s Historic and Design Review Commission has approved the design plans for Post Lake’s offering. Located on a 2.4 acre site near Market Street, this project is part of an ongoing public-private partnership between the developer and Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corp.
Hemisfair’s Master Plan, which was unanimously accepted by City Council in 2012, calls for transforming the former World’s Fair site into new park space as well as mixed-use neighborhood development with retail outlets, restaurants and residential buildings included in its scope. The first phase of Civic Park will open in September with an event lawn that can accommodate up to 10 thousand people present at any given time.
The redevelopment efforts taking place at Hemisfair are gaining traction among local residents looking forward to seeing their beloved fairground transformed into something even more special than before!
