### BayCare Health System Acquires Tampa Medical Office Buildings
BayCare Health System has purchased three medical office buildings in Tampa from Highwood Properties. According to the *Tampa Business Journal*, the health system plans to use the properties to consolidate services from leased offices while also providing space for future expansion, including the growth of its BayCare Medical Group physician practice.
With this acquisition, BayCare now owns the LakePointe One, LakePointe Two, and Spectrum office buildings, along with two adjacent parking garages located immediately west of St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Highwoods, a joint venture partner in office space in Midtown Tampa, continues to own office properties across the Tampa Bay area. Among the current tenants in these buildings, Fisher Investments occupies 120,000 square feet in LakePointe One, while Alvarez & Marsal leases 30,000 square feet in LakePointe Two.
This purchase is part of BayCare’s broader expansion strategy. In recent months, the health system has acquired land in Pasco County, a former Barnes & Noble store in Carrollwood, and is in the process of rezoning a former CVS location in Tampa to develop a freestanding emergency room.
