Kimco Realty announced that Creekside Center, an 80,000-square-foot open-air shopping center in Hayward, will soon be home to Las Montañas Supermarket. This family owned and operated grocery store specializes in Mexican foods and specialty grocery items with a 23,334 square foot space expected to open late summer.
In addition to the new grocer coming into the center, Kimco has also given Creekside Center a cosmetic transformation including a new façade with metal canopies as well as pylon signs and monument signs for more of a contemporary look.
Brian Alt from Kimco’s Senior Director of Real Estate commented on this development: “At Kimco we prioritize matching best-in-class retailers with shoppers in top locations – something we have achieved at Creekside where nearly one third of its target market is comprised by Latino households who now have access to their own dedicated grocer right near them.”
