Johnson Memorial Hospital recently celebrated the reopening of the Karen Davis Krzynowek Cancer Center in Hartford, Connecticut. The $6 million construction and renovation project spanned 14 months and expanded the cancer center by 5,500 square feet.
The expansion consolidated all outpatient cancer services including Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and physician offices into one collaborative space. Upgrades included private Medical Oncology infusion bays with personal televisions as well as space for family or friends to accompany patients during treatment sessions.
This expansion is part of a larger $40 million project to establish a comprehensive outpatient services hub on Johnson Memorial Hospital’s Enfield campus. Robert Roose M.D., M..P., Chief Administrative Officer at Johnson Memorial Hospital stated “At our hospital we keep our patients at the center of everything we do; this important project will increase coordination of care by bringing all outpatient cancer care programs together”
