HarborOne Bank Collaborates with NeighborWorks Housing Solutions for Downtown Brockton Redevelopment

HarborOne Bank has recently transferred ownership of its former headquarters at 68 Legion Parkway to NeighborWorks Housing Solutions (NHS) in a commitment to revitalizing downtown Brockton. The agreement was officially signed on June 28, 2024, with pre-development planning set to commence in 2025 and construction expected to begin in the following year.

The redevelopment project will include a new banking center, redesigned NHS office space, and approximately 50-60 units of mixed-income housing. Throughout the process, HarborOne’s downtown banking center will remain open for business as usual until the estimated completion date of 2028.

According to Joseph F. Casey, president & CEO of HarborOne Bank: “The partnership between NHS and HarborOne is rooted in our shared goal of promoting financial stability for individuals and families while also enhancing neighborhoods through sustainable home ownership.” He further explains that this decision aligns with their efforts towards meeting customers’ future banking needs while investing in the vibrancy of downtown Brockton and supporting affordable housing development.
