Hanania Automotive Group is moving forward with plans for a new auto dealership complex in St. Johns County, with a proposed investment of $75 million. The project calls for a 180,000-square-foot facility near the interchange of State Road 207 and Interstate 95, positioning the development along a key regional corridor. The plan remains subject to final approval from county officials before construction can proceed.
According to reporting cited from the Jacksonville Business Journal, company leader Jack Hanania views the area around the State Road 207 and Interstate 95 interchange as a growth corridor. On that basis, he not only intends to develop the new dealership facility but is also looking to acquire additional land in the same area. Specific parcels or transaction details for future acquisitions have not yet been disclosed.
St. Johns County, where the project site is planned, lists St. Augustine as its largest city and has a population exceeding 250,000 residents. The combination of a growing population base and the county’s established urban center provides the backdrop for Hanania Automotive Group’s expansion strategy in the region.
Hanania has not yet identified which of his auto brands will be housed at the new facility. The company currently sells 17 brands, including Audi, Acura, Porsche, Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep. The final brand mix at the State Road 207 and Interstate 95 location remains to be announced, and the group has not provided a timeline for that decision.
Beyond this planned dealership, Hanania Automotive Group has been extending its reach across the country. In recent years, the group has entered new markets in South Carolina, Nebraska and Pennsylvania, adding to its existing footprint. The St. Johns County project represents another step in that broader expansion, tying a sizable new retail automotive facility to a corridor that the company believes has significant long-term potential.
With county review still underway, key project details such as construction schedule, financing structure and anticipated opening date have not been made public. However, the scale of the planned investment and the stated intention to purchase more land in the area point to a multi-phase approach, with this initial dealership serving as a cornerstone for Hanania Automotive Group’s future presence in the county.
