Hadrian’s $1.37B Series D shows institutional capital backing for automated, mission-critical manufacturing platforms with multi-million-square-foot footprints, underscoring continued equity access for tech-enabled industrial real estate users.

Hadrian, an advanced manufacturing company headquartered in Torrance, has completed a $1.37 billion Series D financing round to support its buildout of highly automated factories. The new capital values the business at $7.87 billion, marking a significant step-up in scale for the company as it expands its physical and technology footprint.

The company stated that proceeds from the Series D raise will be directed toward constructing additional factories, expanding research and development efforts, and further developing its artificial intelligence-powered production capabilities. Hadrian positions its facilities as highly automated industrial sites designed to support mission-critical manufacturing activity.

The financing round is co-led by a group of institutional investors, including WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, Valor Equity Partners, 137 Ventures and Baillie Gifford. JPMorganChase’s Strategic Investment Group is participating as an anchor co-lead in the round, adding another large institutional name to the equity syndicate.

Leadership at Hadrian emphasized that the new capital will allow the company to accelerate its growth plans and broaden its production capabilities. Founder and CEO Chris Power described the funding as an opportunity for the business to advance what it calls “Factories of the Future,” expand into new mission-critical production lines, and invest further in technicians and engineers supporting the platform.

Over the 12 months since its Series C financing, Hadrian has expanded its operating footprint by opening new factories in Mesa, AZ, and Muscle Shoals, AL. With these additions, the company now controls just under three million square feet of factory space across four sites, reflecting a rapidly scaling industrial platform.

By pairing large-format factory space with automation and AI-enabled production processes, Hadrian aims to play a larger role in modernizing domestic manufacturing. The latest equity raise provides fresh funding to continue building out its network of facilities, broaden its research initiatives and deepen its use of artificial intelligence within its production environment.
