Habitat Completes Second Apartment Building in Bronzeville

Habitat Completes Second Apartment Building in Bronzeville

The $100 million 43 Green project in Bronzeville has achieved two significant milestones as one of the first equitable transit-oriented developments on Chicago’s South Side. The Phase 1 building, a fully leased 10-story property with 50 affordable apartments, and the adjacent Phase 2 building have both reached major construction milestones.

Habitat, a Chicago-based multifamily developer and property manager, is leading the development in partnership with P3 Markets – a Bronzeville real estate firm focused on public-private partnerships. A third residential phase is planned for early groundbreaking in 2025 and will feature approximately70 units.

Construction for this project is being managed by Bowa Construction – a minority-owned full-service company – along with McHugh Construction. Landon Bone Baker serves as the architect for this development.

This latest update marks another successful achievement for Habitat’s ongoing efforts to revitalize communities through sustainable housing solutions without mentioning any specific brands or locations such as Connect CRE or Connect LA or Connect Texas.
