H Mart, the popular Korean-American supermarket chain, will open a new 25,000-square-foot grocery store in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, continuing its expansion in the Pacific Northwest.

The company has signed a long-term lease at a redevelopment site on NW Market Street, with plans to open the location by late 2025. The new store will feature a full-service grocery section, multiple food hall vendors, and a curated selection of Asian imports.

Headquartered in New Jersey, H Mart is the largest Asian grocer in the United States, with nearly 100 locations nationwide. The chain already operates ten stores in the greater Seattle area, including downtown Seattle, the University District, South Lake Union, Bellevue, Tacoma, Federal Way, and Lynnwood. H Mart’s local corporate office is based in Algona, Washington.
