H-E-B has announced its plans to demolish their current 75,000-square-foot store in Dripping Springs and replace it with a larger 125,000-square-foot store at 598 E. US Highway 290. However, the town’s council must first approve this move.
According to the Austin Business Journal, H-E-B is also expanding several of its older stores in Buda, Round Rock and Kyle. In addition to these expansions, they recently opened a new store on South Congress Avenue in December.
The existing Dripping Springs location was built in 2009 and opened for business in 2010 alongside a car wash and fueling facility. To better serve the community of Dripping Springs,H-E-B also opened another location southwest of Austin back in2023.
Dripping Springs is located approximately25 miles west of Austin and was named as last year’s fastest-growing suburb within the area with a population of8 ,689 residents.
