H-E-B is continuing to keep up with Texas’ growth, having recently announced the opening of another grocery store in McKinney and now construction underway for a new one in Pflugerville. The 118,000 square foot store in McKinney will feature a full-service pharmacy with drive thru service, fuel station and car wash as well as True Texas BBQ restaurant. The 127,000 square foot Pflugerville location is expected to open by fall 2024 and have similar features.
The San Antonio based chain opened its first store back in 1905 in Kerrville and has since grown to over 420 stores across Texas & Mexico. With Texans seemingly never too far from an H-E-B it’s no surprise that these openings are often big events for the town they are located within – long lines on day one not being uncommon!
