H-E-B has opened a new eCommerce fulfillment center (eFC) in Katy, Texas. Spanning over 100,000 square feet, the facility is twice the size of previous ones and will support Curbside and Home Delivery orders across Houston. The company has hired more than 300 part-time and full-time employees to work at the eFC as part of its eCommerce team.
The Katy facility allows for increased capacity, greater efficiency when shopping in store due to less aisle congestion, better product availability with streamlined processes that use automation throughout order processing. H-E-B’s Curbside and Home Delivery services are now available at 270 stores across Texas with this being their seventh such center since 2018 – more on the way!
