### H-E-B Expanding Joe V’s Smart Shop Discount Stores in Dallas

Joe V’s Smart Shop, a discount grocery brand operated by H-E-B, is expanding its presence in Dallas with a second location set to open on March 26. The new store, located at Buckner and Samuell boulevards in eastern Dallas, follows the opening of a Joe V’s in Duncanville. A third Dallas-area store is also planned for Irving at Metroplex Plaza, located at 2407 W. Airport Freeway. Currently, Houston has 10 Joe V’s locations.

Designed to serve neighborhoods with limited access to fresh groceries, Joe V’s stores are about 55,000 square feet—approximately half the size of a standard H-E-B supermarket. The newest location will employ around 200 workers.

Joe V’s Smart Shop offers prices 10-20% lower than traditional H-E-B stores by streamlining operations. Products are shipped directly to stores in truckloads, reducing warehousing costs and allowing for more competitive pricing.

With its focus on affordability and efficient operations, Joe V’s continues to expand in Texas, bringing fresh, cost-effective grocery options to more communities.
