**H-E-B Expands Distribution Capacity in DFW with $20M Warehouse Investment**
San Antonio-based grocer H-E-B is making significant moves to support its rapid expansion across North Texas. The company is investing $20 million to complete a 139,000-square-foot industrial warehouse located at 6900 AWG Way in south Fort Worth.
According to reports, the facility will serve as a general warehouse and storage space, helping to strengthen H-E-B’s supply chain as it grows its footprint in the region. The project is expected to be fully constructed by 2027. Design services for the build-out are being provided by Andrew W. Booth & Associates Inc.
H-E-B has been actively expanding its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This summer, the retailer announced new store locations in Fort Worth, Denton, Flower Mound, and Sherman. Earlier this year, H-E-B also revealed plans for its first-ever store within the Dallas city limits.
As the largest private employer in Texas, H-E-B currently operates more than 430 stores across Texas and Mexico, generating over $43 billion in annual sales.
