Guggenheim Partners Preparing to Relocate from Chicago and NYC to Miami

Industry sources report that Guggenheim Partners, an investment firm with roughly 1,000 employees in the West Loop of Chicago, is on the verge of relocating its headquarters to Miami. It’s not yet known whether their New York office will also move south or how much their Chicago staff will be reduced. A source with direct knowledge of the pending move said top Guggenheim executives would be based in Miami instead of either city. In a statement to Crain’s Chicago Business , a spokesperson for Guggenheim confirmed that they have downsized since the pandemic began but did not comment directly on moving headquarters. This follows Citadel’s recent decision to depart from Chicago and head towards Florida as well.
